Wallace H. Church died January 8, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Wally was born to Afton Heaps and Champ H. Church in Panguitch, Utah on Aug. 13, 1947.

He graduated from College of Southern Utah in Cedar City, Utah where he met his wife of 42 years, Judy Church. After college he enlisted into the Army and was stationed in Georgia for the duration of his Army life.

He moved to Vernal after the Army,were he lived for the next 27 years and where he raised his three children and sold insurance as a partner in Sentry West Insurance Services.

He moved to the Wood River Valley (Idaho) in 1994 where he worked as a caretaker, sold art for Zantman Galleries and helped raise his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Judy Church, his three children, Marlo Church, Brandi Jameson, Champ (Melissa) Church and his nine grandchildren.

As an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoors man, mentor, and friend, he will be truly missed by all.

Friends may call Wood River Chapel from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan.15, 2011. A Celebration of Life will be later in the spring. Cremation is under the care of Wood River Chapel of Hailey, Idaho.
