She was baptized in the LDS church in September 1837. She married Israel Barlow on 23 February 1840 at Quincy, Adams, Ill. Elizabeth Haven died on 25 December 1892 at Bountiful, Davis, Utah, at age 80. She was buried on 27 December 1892 at Bountiful, Davis, Ut.

Jesse Haven

     Jesse Haven was born on 28 March 1814 at Holliston, Middx, Mass.1 He was the son of John Haven and Elizabeth Howe. Jesse Haven was baptized in the LDS church on 13 April 1837. He married Martha Spring Hall on 24 November 1842 at Sutton, Worc, Mass. Jesse Haven married Abby Cram on 12 October 1850. Jesse Haven Jesse Haven was the first president of the South African LDS Mission
opening the mission and serving there 1853-1855.

Member of Council of Twelve - 1845 (Record Family Meeting - Nauvoo
Jan 8, 1845). He died on 13 December 1905 at Peterson, Morgan, Utah, at age 91. He was buried at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.

Mary Ellen Haven

F, b. 26 June 1803, d. 15 February 1863
     Mary Ellen Haven was born on 26 June 1803 at Holliston, Mddlsx, Ms.1 She was the daughter of John Haven and Elizabeth Howe. Mary Ellen Haven married Joseph Ferrin Palmer, son of Abner Palmer and Mary Harvey, on 9 January 1833 at Holliston, Middlesex, Massachusetts; Joseph F. Palmer and Mary Haven of Holliston, Intention to Marriage Dec 9, 1832; Joseph Palmer of Hopkinton.2 Mary Ellen Haven was baptized in the LDS church on 30 June 1838 at Holliston, Middlesex, Masssachusetts. She and Joseph Ferrin Palmer appeared on the census of 1840 at Holliston, Middlesex, Massachusetts.3 Joseph and Mary and children emigrated from Massachusetts to Nauvoo, Illinois, along with other members of the extended Haven family. Eliza Ann said this of the journey: "In 1841 we left our native home for Nauvoo. Arrived there in May traveling by Canal, Railroad and Steam. The first to greet us on landing were our Prophet Joseph Smith and
Brigham Young. After shaking hands and bade us welcome Brother Joseph’s first question, had we any place to go, there were 4 families in the county. We had, for 2 of my half sisters were there."4 Joseph and Mary signed a petition to the US Congress asking for redress for the loss of property in Jackson County, Missouri.5 Mary Ellen Haven and Joseph Ferrin Palmer appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Great Salt Lake, Utah Territory, enumerated 1850, where a 5-year old girl named Emerantha, born in New York, is also living with the family. Joseph's occupation is given as shoemaker. There were several shoemaking factories in Holliston, Massachussetts where the family lived prior to emigrating to Nauvoo. Joseph may have been employed in one of these factories.. Their children Edmond Francis and Mary Ellen were listed as living with them.6 Mary Ellen Haven and Joseph Ferrin Palmer appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Great Salt Lake Ward 8, Great Salt Lake, Utah Territory, enumerated 22 June 1860. Their children Edmond Francis were listed as living with them.7 Mary Ellen Haven died on 15 February 1863 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, USA, at age 59.
