     Hephzibah Davis was born on 1 May 1777 at New Ipswich, Hillsborough, New Hampshire.¹ She was the daughter of Elijah Davis and Hephzibah (?). Hephzibah Davis was born on 5 May 1777 at New Ipswich, Hillsboro, New Hampshire. She married David Peirce, son of Stephen Pierce and Lydia Whitney, on 27 November 1804 at Mason, Hillsborough, New Hampshire, USA.² In 1837 David and Hephzibah moved to Indiana.³ Hephzibah Davis appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Jackson, Elkhart, Indiana, enumerated October 1850, She is living near the William Clyde and Samuel Burns families, two of her sons-in-laws..⁴ She died in February 1851 at age 73.¹
