      Ann Linsey was also known as Ann Lindsay. She was born circa 1767 at Granville, North Carolina, USA. She was the daughter of Leonard Linsey and Sarah Searcy. Ann Linsey married Richard Searcy on 15 June 1787 at Granville County, North Carolina.¹ Ann Linsey witnessed the probate of the estate of Leonard Linsey in November 1796 at Granville, North Carolina.²

     Caleb Linsey was born on 27 April 1763 at Granville, North Carolina, USA. He was the son of Joseph Linsey and Rachel (?). Caleb Linsey died on 23 December 1838 at Rutherford, Tennessee, USA, at age 75.

     Joseph Linsey was born circa 1730. He he probably was the brother of Leonard Linsey. He married Rachel (?). Joseph Linsey and Leonard Linsey engaged in land transaction on 5 March 1754 at St Johns Parish, Granville, North Carolina.¹ Two men named Joseph Lindsey served in John Glover's militia company in October 1754 at Granville, North Carolina, probably father and son. Leonard "Lyndsey," who served in the same company, may also have been the son of Joseph Lindsey. Joseph Linsey paid taxes listed as Joseph Lindsey in 1769 at Granville, North Carolina. He was listed as a member of the Granville militia, Capt William Williams company, on 3 October 1771 at Granville, North Carolina. He and his son Laban signed the "Oath of Allegiance" in 1778 at Nutbush District, Granville, North Carolina. He died on 5 March 1793 at Warren, North Carolina, USA.

     Laban Linsey was born on 14 July 1756 at Granville, North Carolina.¹ He was the son of Joseph Linsey and Rachel (?).

     Leonard Linsey was born circa 1730. He paid taxes where he's listed as Leonard Linsoy. Joseph Linsey also paid Granville taxes in that year. in 1750 at Granville, North Carolina. He and Joseph Linsey engaged in land transaction on 5 March 1754 at St Johns Parish, Granville, North Carolina.¹ Leonard Linsey began military service on 8 October 1754 at Granville, North Carolina, in John Glover's company along with many of his kinsmen (Joseph Lindsey, Bartlet Searcy).² He served in the militia on 6 September 1755 at Granville, North Carolina, in the company of Jonathan Sallis. Sherwood Harris served in the same company.³ He married Sarah Searcy, daughter of John Searcy Sr. and Phoebe Hargreaves, in 1760 at Granville Co, North Carolina. Leonard Linsey (Lindsey) on 27 November 1760 purchased 640 acres in St Johns Parish in Granville county. Joseph Lindsey was a witness to the transaction.⁴ He was engaged in land transaction selling land to Jordan Rowland. on 15 March 1771 at Bute, North Carolina.⁵ He witnessed the marriage of John Guess and Mary Linsey circa 1775. In the Name of God Amen.
I Leonard Linsey of Granville county in the State of North Carolina being weak in body but of sound mind and memory thanks to almighty god for the same to sound mind that is appointed for all man once to die. do make constituted appoint and ordain this my last Will of Testament and first I will that all my debts which I owe be fore with levied out of my estate of paid.
Item. I lend to my loving wife Sarah during her natural life my plantation. Of houses whereon I now live together with one hundred and forty three acres of land including round the said plantation also all of my household goods and furniture my stock of every kind of all my plantation.

Item I give and bequeath to my son Elisha Linsey the remaining part of my land which I have not lent my wife containing one hundred and forty acres including plantation whereon he now lives also half of my iron which is not worked up into tools to him and his heirs forever.
My will and desire is that after my wife's decease the land of plantation which I have lent her be sold for the that can be got for it of the money arising there from such sale be equally divided among my daughters that shall then be living and all the personal essentails to be sold after equally be divided to my said son Elisha., my daughters that shall be living to their heirs forever. I also appoint my friends Richard Searcy, Richard Harris, my Executors to this my lst will and testament. In the Testimony whereof I have here unto set any hand of seal

     Phebe Linsey was born circa 1775 at Granville, North Carolina, USA. She was the daughter of Leonard Linsey and Sarah Searcy. Phebe Linsey married Joseph Dickerson on 17 December 1795 at Granville County, North Carolina.¹ Phebe Linsey witnessed the probate of the estate of Leonard Linsey in November 1796 at Granville, North Carolina.²

      Sarah Linsey was also known as Sally. She was born circa 1769 at Granville, North Carolina, USA. She was the daughter of Leonard Linsey and Sarah Searcy. Sarah Linsey married Charles Hopkins on 1 January 1789 at Granville County, North Carolina.¹ Sarah Linsey witnessed the probate of the estate of Leonard Linsey in November 1796 at Granville, North Carolina.² Sarah Linsey married an unknown person on 12 July 1808 at Granville County, North Carolina.³

      Wyatt Linsey was also known as Wyatt Lindsey. He was born circa 1790 at Granville, North Carolina, USA. He was the son of Elisha Linsey and Elizabeth Loyd. Wyatt Linsey married Betsy Miller circa 1810 at Tennessee. Wyatt Linsey appeared on the census of 1820 at Lebanon, Wilson, Tennessee.¹ He died in 1822 at Wilson, Tennessee, USA.

     Zellah Linsey was born circa 1760. She was the daughter of Joseph Linsey and Rachel (?). Zellah Linsey died after 1793.

      Elizabeth Lissen was also known as Listen.¹ She was born circa 1637. She was the daughter of Nicholas Lissen. Elizabeth Lissen married Henry Magoon on 8 October 1657 at Exeter, Rockingham, New Hampshire, USA. Elizabeth Lissen died on 14 June 1675 at Exeter, Rockingham, New Hampshire, USA.

     Hannah Lissen was born circa 1636. She was the daughter of Nicholas Lissen.

     Mary Lissen was born in 1644 at Exeter, Rockingham, New Hampshire, USA. She was the daughter of Nicholas Lissen.

     Nicholas Lissen was born circa 1618 at Lochabar, Scotland. Nicholas purchased the indentures of Henry Magoon, John Bean, and Alexander, who eventually became the husbands of his three daughters. He died in 1697 at Exeter, Rockingham, New Hampshire.

     Ann Litton was born before 1740. She was the daughter of Thomas Litton and Ann Hawkins. Ann Litton died on 24 April 1740.

     Clemency Litton was born on 5 October 1759 at Harford Co., (Was Baltimore), Md. She was the daughter of Samuel Litton and Ann Crawford. Clemency Litton married Thomas Durbin, son of Daniel Durbin and Ann Mitchell, on 5 October 1779 at St Johns Parish, Harford Co, Maryland.¹ Clemency Litton died on 29 January 1826 at (Richland?), Ohio, at age 66. She was buried on 31 January 1826 at Richland, Oh.
